Lady Teeth #9 is the most recent issue of my most current zine. I started writing zines in the mid-90s after a girl down the shore gave me an issue of Cometbus to read. I had never seen a zine before. Since then I have put 9 issues of Lady Teeth, Sub Rosa (1-7), Girl Swirl (1-13 including 11.5), Sophisti-Femme (1-6) and the following mini zines/one offs/etc: Life Without Booze: Reflections on Six Years Sober, Moods: A zine about covered bridges, An East Coast Girl's Guide to Record Stores in the PNW, Home, A Girl Called Mike, Boshi (1-3), Sid, Boobs & the Milk Cart, Dear Gwen (which appeared in Bust Magazine), Dear Gwen PS, To Stop To Listen and Inside & Out (issues 1-2). (I also wrote a book, Heavy Hangs the Head)
"Perzines are about vulnerability and sharing part of yourself with an audience, but Lady Teeth utilizes a whole other kind of vulnerability: the kind achieved when opening up to someone you trust."
